Be Ready, Be Compliant: Master Waste Management, Spill Control & Emergency Rescue
Handling scheduled waste without proper knowledge can lead to serious environmental damage, safety hazards and legal consequences. In high-risk environments, chemical spills and improper waste management can escalate quickly if employees are not trained to respond effectively. This makes it essential for organisations to equip their teams with the right skills, knowledge and emergency readiness.
Our 2-Day Scheduled Waste Management, Spillage & Rescue Training is designed to provide participants with practical, hands-on knowledge to manage scheduled waste safely while being fully prepared to respond to chemical spill emergencies. This programme focuses on real-world application, ensuring participants can confidently handle both compliance and emergency situations.
Participants will learn proper handling of scheduled waste, including SW410, SW409 and SW322, as well as correct labelling, storage and disposal practices in line with regulatory requirements. The training also covers effective spill control techniques and practical response actions during chemical spill incidents, including emergency rescue procedures. In addition, participants will gain a clear understanding of legal requirements under the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 and its subsidiary regulations.
Through hands-on simulations and real-life scenarios, participants will develop the confidence and competence to manage risks, respond to emergencies and ensure workplace safety and compliance. This programme is HRD claimable and includes certification upon completion.
Who Should Attend
This training is suitable for safety and health personnel, facility and plant teams, chemical handlers, Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, environmental officers and anyone involved in scheduled waste management and emergency response.
Key Outcomes
Participants will gain the ability to manage scheduled waste in compliance with regulations, apply proper storage and disposal practices, respond effectively to chemical spills, perform basic rescue actions, understand legal requirements and improve overall workplace safety and audit readiness.
