Proper scheduled waste management is critical to ensure workplace safety, environmental protection and regulatory compliance. Many organisations handle hazardous waste daily but may not fully understand the correct procedures, putting them at risk of penalties, unsafe practices and environmental harm. Our 1-Day Scheduled Waste (SW) Management Awareness Training is designed to provide participants with a clear and practical understanding of handling scheduled waste, with a focus on SW410, SW409 and SW322. This programme helps organisations strengthen internal systems and ensure all waste handling processes meet regulatory standards.
Participants will learn how to identify different types of scheduled waste, apply proper labelling, storage and segregation practices and manage waste inventory and documentation effectively. The training also covers the correct disposal flow, including the consignment note process, as well as compliance with Department of Environment (DOE) requirements and the Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
Through practical guidance and real-world application, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to handle scheduled waste safely, legally and efficiently, reducing risks and supporting a more sustainable workplace. A certificate will be provided upon completion of the training.

This training is suitable for facility and plant teams, safety committee members, chemical handlers, Emergency Response Team (ERT) members and environmental personnel involved in waste management and compliance.
