Workplace safety is no longer just a good practice, it is a legal responsibility. Under the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022, organisations with five or more employees are required to appoint a trained OSH Coordinator to support the implementation of workplace safety and health management systems.
Failing to comply with this requirement may expose companies to serious penalties, including fines of up to RM50,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both. This makes it crucial for organisations to ensure that the appointed personnel are properly trained and registered.
Our OSH Coordinator Training programme is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to support workplace safety initiatives and assist employers in complying with DOSH regulations. The training focuses on understanding the roles and responsibilities of an OSH Coordinator, identifying workplace hazards and implementing effective risk control measures.
Participants will also learn how to conduct HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control) activities, support safety documentation and promote a proactive safety culture within their organisations. The programme combines practical guidance, case discussions and hands-on workshops to ensure participants can confidently apply what they learn in real workplace situations.
This training is especially valuable for organisations seeking to strengthen their safety compliance while building internal competency to manage workplace risks effectively.
